John Shaqi

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَأْذَنُ لِعَبْدِهِ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَ الْحُرَّةَ أَوْ أَمَةَ قَوْمٍ الطَّلَاقُ إِلَى السَّيِّدِ أَوْ إِلَى الْعَبْدِ قَالَ الطَّلَاقُ إِلَى الْعَبْدِ .


Translation

Muhammad, from Ahmad, from Ibn Mahboub, from Jameel Bin Salih, from Abu Baseer who said, ‘I asked Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> about the man who permits his slave that he marries the free woman, or a slave girl, would the divorced be fixed to the master or to the slave?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The divorce is up to the slave’.
