نَزَلَ جَبْرَئِيلُ ( عليه السلام ) بِهَذِهِ الْآيَةِ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) هَكَذَا بِئْسَمَا اشْتَرَوْا بِهِ أَنْفُسَهُمْ أَنْ يَكْفُرُوا بِما أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فِي عَلِيٍّ بَغْياً .

علی بن ابراہیم، احمد بن محمد البرقی سے، ان کے والد سے، محمد بن سنان سے، عمار بن مروان سے، منخل سے، جابر سے، ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے فرمایا: جبرئیل علیہ السلام یہ آیت محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ پر اس طرح نازل ہوئے: بُرا ہے وہ جس کے بدلے انہوں نے اپنی جانیں بیچ دیں: کہ وہ اس کا انکار کریں جو اللہ نے علی کے بارے میں نازل فرمایا، حسد کی وجہ سے۔
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Al Barqy, from his father, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Ammar Bin Marwan, from Munakhhal, from Jabir, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Jibraeel<sup>as</sup> descended with <span style="text-decoration: underline">this Verse like thi</span>s <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:2#h90"><a href="/books/quran:2#h90">[2:90]</a></a> Evil is that for which they have sold their souls - that they should deny what Allah has Revealed regarding Ali</span><sup class="ibTxt">asws</sup><span class="ibTxt">, in rebellion</span>’.
