سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ الْمَعْتُوهَةِ الذَّاهِبَةِ الْعَقْلِ أَ يَجُوزُ بَيْعُهَا وَ صَدَقَتُهَا قَالَ لَا وَ عَنْ طَلَاقِ السَّكْرَانِ وَ عِتْقِهِ قَالَ لَا يَجُوزُ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, from Abdul Kareem, from Al Halby, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I asked him<sup>asws</sup> about the demented woman with the intellect gone, is her selling and her charity allowed?’ He<sup>asws</sup>; ‘No’. And about a divorce by the intoxicated and his emancipation, he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Not allowed’.
