سَأَلْتُهُ عَمَّا قَتَلَ الْحَجَرُ وَ الْبُنْدُقُ أَ يُؤْكَلُ مِنْهُ قَالَ لَا .

ابو علی الاشعری نے محمد بن عبد الجبار سے، انہوں نے صفوان سے، انہوں نے العلاء سے، انہوں نے محمد بن مسلم سے، انہوں نے ان دونوں میں سے ایک (علیہما السلام) سے روایت کی کہ انہوں نے کہا: میں نے آپ سے اس جانور کے بارے میں پوچھا جسے پتھر اور گولہ مار کر قتل کیا گیا ہو، کیا اسے کھایا جا سکتا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: نہیں۔
Translation
Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Safwan, from Al A’ala, from Muhammad Bin Muslim, (It has been narrated) from one of the two (5<sup>th</sup> or 6<sup>th</sup> Imam<sup>asws</sup>), said, ‘I asked him<sup>asws</sup> about what is killed by the stone and the pellet, can one eat from it?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘No’.
