سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ قَتْلِ الْحَجَرِ وَ الْبُنْدُقِ أَ يُؤْكَلُ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ لَا .

ہمارے اصحاب کی ایک جماعت نے سہل بن زیاد سے، انہوں نے احمد بن محمد بن ابی نصر سے، انہوں نے علاء بن رزین سے، انہوں نے محمد بن مسلم سے، انہوں نے ان دونوں میں سے ایک (علیہما السلام) سے روایت کی، کہا: میں نے ان سے پتھر اور گولی سے مارے گئے شکار کے بارے میں پوچھا کہ کیا اسے کھایا جا سکتا ہے؟ تو انہوں نے فرمایا: نہیں۔
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, from Al A’la Bin Razeyn, from Muhammad Bin Muslim, (It has been narrated) from one of the two (5<sup>th</sup> or 6<sup>th</sup> Imam<sup>asws</sup>), said, ‘I asked him<sup>asws</sup> about (hunted prey) killed by the stone and the pellet, can one eat from it?’ so he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘No’.
