سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الذَّبِيحَةِ بِالْعُودِ وَ الْحَجَرِ وَ الْقَصَبَةِ قَالَ فَقَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ( عليه السلام ) لَا يَصْلُحُ الذَّبْحُ إِلَّا بِالْحَدِيدَةِ .

میں نے ان سے لکڑی، پتھر اور سرکنڈے سے ذبح کرنے کے بارے میں پوچھا۔ انہوں نے کہا: علی ابن ابی طالب علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: لوہے کے علاوہ ذبح درست نہیں۔
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Abu Umeyr, from Hammad, from Al Halby, (The narrator says), ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the (animal) slaughtered by the wood, and the stone, and the cane. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Ali<sup>asws</sup> Bin Abu Talib<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The slaughter is not correct except by the iron’.
