سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الذَّبِيحَةِ فَقَالَ إِذَا تَحَرَّكَ الذَّنَبُ أَوِ الطَّرْفُ أَوِ الْأُذُنُ فَهُوَ ذَكِيٌّ .

ابو علی الاشعری نے، محمد بن عبد الجبار سے، انہوں نے صفوان بن یحیی سے، انہوں نے ابن مسکان سے، انہوں نے محمد الحلبی سے، انہوں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی، فرمایا: میں نے ان سے ذبیحہ کے بارے میں پوچھا، تو آپ نے فرمایا: جب دم حرکت کرے، یا پلک جھپکے، یا کان ہلے، تو وہ ذکی ہے۔
Translation
Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Ibn Muskan, from Muhammad Al Halby, (The narrator) says ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the slaughtered animal, so he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘When it moves the tail, or blinks, or (moves) its ears, so it is purified’.
