سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْغُرَابِ الْأَبْقَعِ وَ الْأَسْوَدِ أَ يَحِلُّ أَكْلُهُمَا فَقَالَ لَا يَحِلُّ أَكْلُ شَيْءٍ مِنَ الْغِرْبَانِ زَاغٍ وَ لَا غَيْرِهِ .

محمد بن یحییٰ نے العمرکی بن علی سے، انہوں نے علی بن جعفر سے، انہوں نے اپنے بھائی ابو الحسن (علیہ السلام) سے روایت کی۔ انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ان سے چتکبرے کوے اور کالے کوے کے بارے میں پوچھا کہ کیا ان دونوں کو کھانا حلال ہے؟ تو انہوں نے فرمایا: 'کووں میں سے کسی بھی قسم کو کھانا حلال نہیں ہے، نہ کالے کوے کو اور نہ کسی اور کو۔'
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Al Amraky Bin Ali, (It has been narrated) from Ali son of Ja’far<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>, from his brother<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> Abu Al-Hassan<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>, said, ‘I asked him<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> about the speckled crows. And the black ones, is it to eat these two?’ So he<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said: ‘It is not Permissible to anything from the crows, ravens and others’.
