قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) الدَّجَاجَةُ الْجَلَّالَةُ لَا يُؤْكَلُ لَحْمُهَا حَتَّى تُقَيَّدَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَ الْبَطَّةُ الْجَلَّالَةُ خَمْسَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَ الشَّاةُ الْجَلَّالَةُ عَشَرَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَ الْبَقَرَةُ الْجَلَّالَةُ عِشْرِينَ يَوْماً وَ النَّاقَةُ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْماً .

امیر المومنین علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: جلالہ مرغی کا گوشت نہیں کھایا جائے یہاں تک کہ اسے تین دن تک بند رکھا جائے؛ اور جلالہ بطخ کو پانچ دن؛ اور جلالہ بھیڑ کو دس دن؛ اور جلالہ گائے کو بیس دن؛ اور اونٹنی کو چالیس دن۔
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from him father, form Al Nowfaly, from Al Sakuny, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> having said: ‘Amir Al-Momineen<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said: ‘The dung-eating chicken, do not eat its meat until you contain it for three days; and the dung-eating duck (contain it) for five days; and the dung-eating sheep (contain it) for ten days; and the dung-eating cow (contain it) for twenty days; and the (dung-eating) she-camel, (contain it) for forty days’.
