John Shaqi

قِيلَ لِأَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) فِي رَجُلٍ يَأْكُلُ الطِّينَ فَنَهَاهُ فَقَالَ لَا تَأْكُلْهُ فَإِنْ أَكَلْتَهُ وَ مِتَّ كُنْتَ قَدْ أَعَنْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ .


Translation

A number of our companions, from sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ibn Fazzal, from Ibn Al Qaddah, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘It was said to Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> regarding a man who are the clay, so he<sup>asws</sup> forbade it, so he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Do not eat it, for if one eats it and dies, so he has aided upon him (killing himself)’.
