قَالَ لِي يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ إِنَّ الْبَطْنَ لَيَطْغَى مِنْ أَكْلِهِ وَ أَقْرَبُ مَا يَكُونُ الْعَبْدُ مِنَ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَ عَزَّ إِذَا خَفَّ بَطْنُهُ وَ أَبْغَضُ مَا يَكُونُ الْعَبْدُ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ إِذَا امْتَلَأَ بَطْنُهُ .
Translation
Humeyd Bin Ziyad, from Al Hassan Bin Muhammad Bin Sama’at, from Wuheyb Bin Hafs, form Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘He<sup>asws</sup> said to me: ‘O Abu Muhammad! The belly is drowned from its eating, and the closest what the servant can happen to be from Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Majestic and Mighty is when his belly is light, and the most hateful of what the servant can happen to be from Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic is when his belly is full up’.
