John Shaqi

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) أُوصِي الشَّاهِدَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي وَ الْغَائِبَ أَنْ يُجِيبَ دَعْوَةَ الْمُسْلِمِ وَ لَوْ عَلَى خَمْسَةِ أَمْيَالٍ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الدِّينِ.


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Hassan Bin Mahboub, from Amro Bin Abu Al Miqdam, from Jabir, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘I<sup>saww</sup> hereby bequeath the present one from my<sup>saww</sup> community, and the absentee that he should answer an Invitation of the Muslim (for a meal), and even though it may be over five miles away, for that is from the Religion’.
