John Shaqi

سَأَلْتُ أَحَدَهُمَا ( عليهما السلام ) عَنْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُناحٌ أَنْ تَأْكُلُوا مِنْ بُيُوتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ آبائِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أُمَّهاتِكُمْ الْآيَةَ قَالَ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ جُنَاحٌ فِيمَا طَعِمْتَ أَوْ أَكَلْتَ مِمَّا مَلَكْتَ مَفَاتِحَهُ مَا لَمْ تُفْسِدْهُ .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Al Qasim Bin Urwa, from Abdullah Bin Bukeyr, from Zurara who said, ‘I asked one of the two (5th or 6th Imam<sup>asws</sup>) about this Verse <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:24#h61"><a href="/books/quran:24#h61">[24:61]</a></a> nor is there blame on the sick, nor on yourselves that you eat from your houses, or your fathers' houses or your mothers' houses</span> – the Verse. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘There is no blame on you regarding what you eat and consume from what you possess its keys for as long as you do not spoil it’.
