كَانَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) رُبَّمَا أَطْعَمَنَا الْفَرَانِيَّ وَ الْأَخْبِصَةَ ثُمَّ يُطْعِمُ الْخُبْزَ وَ الزَّيْتَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ لَوْ دَبَّرْتَ أَمْرَكَ حَتَّى تَعْتَدِلَ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا نَتَدَبَّرُ بِأَمْرِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَإِذَا وَسَّعَ عَلَيْنَا وَسَّعْنَا وَ إِذَا قَتَّرَ عَلَيْنَا قَتَّرْنَا .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ibn Fazzal, from Ibn Bukeyr, from one of our companions who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> would sometimes feed us <span class="iTxt">Al-Farany</span>, and <span class="iTxt">Al-Akhbasa</span>, then he<sup>asws</sup> would feed the bead and the oil. So it was said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘If only you<sup>asws</sup> would manage your<sup>asws</sup> affairs until you equalise it’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘But rather we<sup>asws</sup> manage by the Command of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic. So when He<sup>azwj</sup> Expands for us, we<sup>asws</sup> expand, and when He<sup>azwj</sup> Rations upon us<sup>asws</sup>, we<sup>asws</sup> ration accordingly’.
