Al-Kafi 11583

Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from one of our companions who said, ‘Abu Al-Hassan Musa^asws banqueted a wedding feast over one of his^asws sons, so he^asws fed the people of Al-Medina <span class="iTxt">Al-Falouzajaat</span> for three days in the cooking in the Masjids and the alleyways. Some of the people of Al-Medina refused (to eat), so (the news of) that reached him^asws, so he^asws said: ‘Allah^azwj Mighty and Majestic did not Grant anything to a Prophet^as from His^azwj Prophets^as except He^azwj Granted Muhammad^saww similar to it, and Increased it by what He^azwj did not Grant them^as. He^azwj Said to Suleyman^as <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:38#h39"><a href="/books/quran:38#h39">[38:39]</a></a> This is Our Gift, therefore give out freely or withhold, without measure</span>; and Said for Muhammad^saww <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:59#h7"><a href="/books/quran:59#h7">[59:7]</a></a> and whatever the Rasool gives you, accept it, and from whatever he forbids you, keep back</span>’.
