دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) فَشَكَوْتُ إِلَيْهِ الرَّمَدَ فَقَالَ لِي أَ وَ تُرِيدُ الطَّرِيفَ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي إِذَا غَسَلْتَ يَدَكَ بَعْدَ الطَّعَامِ فَامْسَحْ حَاجِبَيْكَ وَ قُلْ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الْمُحْسِنِ الْمُجْمِلِ الْمُنْعِمِ الْمُفْضِلِ قَالَ فَفَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ فَمَا رَمِدَتْ عَيْنِي بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ .
Translation
Ali Bin Muhammad, raising it from Al Mufazzal who said, ‘I went over to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, so I complained to him<sup>asws</sup> of the conjunctivitis. So he<sup>asws</sup> said to me: ‘Or would you like something odd?’ Then he<sup>asws</sup> said to me: ‘Whenever you wash your hands after the meal, so wipe your eyelids, and say three times, ‘The Praise is for Allah<sup>azwj</sup> the Bestower, the Aggregate, the Benefactor, the Gracious’. He (the narrator) said, ‘So I did that, so I did not have conjunctivitis in my eye after that, and the Praise is for Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, Lord<sup>azwj</sup> of the Worlds’.
