إِذَا وُضِعَ الْخِوَانُ فَقُلْ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَ إِذَا أَكَلْتَ فَقُلْ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ عَلَى أَوَّلِهِ وَ آخِرِهِ وَ إِذَا رُفِعَ فَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umyer, from Ali Bin Abu Hamza, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘When the meal is placed, so say, ‘In the Name of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>’, and when you eat, so say, ‘In the Name of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> at the beginning of it and at the end of it, and when it is raised, so say, ‘The Praise is for Allah<sup>azwj</sup>’.
