John Shaqi

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مَنْ بَنَى مَسْكَناً فَلْيَذْبَحْ كَبْشاً سَمِيناً وَ لْيُطْعِمْ لَحْمَهُ الْمَسَاكِينَ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ ادْحَرْ عَنِّي مَرَدَةَ الْجِنِّ وَ الْإِنْسِ وَ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي بُيُوتِنَا إِلَّا أُعْطِيَ مَا سَأَلَ .


Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Al Nowfaly, from Al Sakuny, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The Prophet<sup>saww</sup> said; ‘The one who builds a dwelling, so let him slaughter a fat ram, and let him feed its meat to the poor. Then he should be saying, ‘O Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! Stave off from me the castaways from the Jinn and the humans, and the devils, and Bless for us in our house’, except that he would be Given whatever he asks’.
