قُلْتُ لَهُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ قَوْلُهُ فَلَا اقْتَحَمَ الْعَقَبَةَ فَقَالَ مَنْ أَكْرَمَهُ اللَّهُ بِوَلَايَتِنَا فَقَدْ جَازَ الْعَقَبَةَ وَ نَحْنُ تِلْكَ الْعَقَبَةُ الَّتِي مَنِ اقْتَحَمَهَا نَجَا قَالَ فَسَكَتَ فَقَالَ لِي فَهَلَّا أُفِيدُكَ حَرْفاً خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَ مَا فِيهَا قُلْتُ بَلَى جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ قَالَ قَوْلُهُ فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ النَّاسُ كُلُّهُمْ عَبِيدُ النَّارِ غَيْرَكَ وَ أَصْحَابِكَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ فَكَّ رِقَابَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ بِوَلَايَتِنَا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ .

علی بن محمد، سہل بن زیاد سے، محمد بن سلیمان الدیلمی سے، ان کے والد سے، ابان بن تغلب سے، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے فرمایا: میں نے ان سے عرض کیا: “میں آپ پر قربان ہو جاؤں۔” اس کا قول: “پھر وہ دشوار گھاٹی پر نہ چڑھا۔” تو انہوں نے علیہ السلام فرمایا: “جسے اللہ نے ہماری ولایت کے ذریعے عزت دی، اس نے یقیناً اس دشوار گھاٹی کو پار کر لیا، اور ہم ہی وہ دشوار گھاٹی ہیں؛ جو اس میں داخل ہوا نجات پا گیا۔” انہوں نے فرمایا: پھر وہ خاموش ہو گئے، پھر انہوں نے مجھ سے فرمایا: "کیا میں تمہیں ایک ایسا کلمہ نہ بتاؤں جو تمہارے لیے دنیا اور اس میں جو کچھ ہے اس سے بہتر ہو؟" میں نے عرض کیا: "جی ہاں، میں آپ پر قربان ہو جاؤں۔" انہوں نے فرمایا: اس کا قول: "ایک گردن آزاد کرنا۔" پھر انہوں نے فرمایا: "تمام لوگ آگ کے غلام ہیں سوائے تمہارے اور تمہارے ساتھیوں کے، کیونکہ اللہ نے ہماری ولایت، اہلِ بیت کے ذریعے تمہاری گردنیں آگ سے آزاد کر دی ہیں۔"
Translation
Ali Bin Muhammad, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Muhammad Bin Suleyman Al Daylami, from his father, from Aban Bin Taghlub, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘May I be sacrificed for you<sup>asws</sup>! His<sup>azwj</sup> Words <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:90#h11"><a href="/books/quran:90#h11">[90:11]</a></a> But he would not attempt the uphill road</span>’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The one whom Allah<sup>azwj</sup> has Honoured with our<sup>asws</sup> Wilayah, so he has crossed the uphill road, and we<sup>asws</sup> are that uphill road which, one who attempts it, would attain salvation’. He (the narrator) said, ‘So he<sup>asws</sup> was silent, then he<sup>asws</sup> said to me: ‘Shall I<sup>asws</sup> give you a sentence (حَرْفاً ) which is better for you than the world and whatever is in it?’ I said, ‘Yes, may I be sacrificed for you<sup>asws</sup>!’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘His<sup>azwj</sup> Words <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:90#h13"><a href="/books/quran:90#h13">[90:13]</a></a> (It is) the setting free of a slave</span>’. Then he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The people, all of them are slaves of the Fire, apart from you and your companions, for Allah<sup>azwj</sup> has Freed your necks from the Fire by our<sup>asws</sup> Wilayah, of the People<sup>asws</sup> of the Household’.
