قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) لِمَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) يُحِبُّ الذِّرَاعَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ حُبِّهِ لِسَائِرِ أَعْضَاءِ الشَّاةِ فَقَالَ ( عليه السلام ) لِأَنَّ آدَمَ ( عليه السلام ) قَرَّبَ قُرْبَاناً عَنِ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ فَسَمَّى لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ عُضْواً عُضْواً وَ سَمَّى لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) الذِّرَاعَ فَمِنْ ثَمَّ كَانَ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) يُحِبُّهَا وَ يَشْتَهِيهَا وَ يُفَضِّلُهَا .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Rayyan, raising it, said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘Why did Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> used to the love the arm more than his<sup>saww</sup> love for the rest of the body parts of the sheep?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Because Adam<sup>as</sup> offered an offering on behalf of the Prophets<sup>as</sup> from his<sup>as</sup> offspring, so he<sup>as</sup> named a part for each Prophet<sup>as</sup> from his<sup>as</sup> offspring, and named the arm for Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup>. So from then, he<sup>saww</sup> used to love it, and was desiring it, and preferring it’.
