محمد بن یحییٰ، محمد بن الحسین سے، محمد بن اسماعیل بن بزیع سے، صالح بن عقبہ سے، عبداللہ بن محمد جعفری سے، ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے؛ اور عقبہ سے، ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے، جنہوں نے فرمایا: بے شک اللہ نے مخلوقات کو پیدا کیا، پس اس نے اپنی محبوب چیزوں میں سے اپنی محبوب چیز کو پیدا کیا، اور جسے اس نے پیدا کرنا پسند کیا اسے جنت کی مٹی سے پیدا کیا۔ اور اس نے اپنی مبغوض چیزوں میں سے اپنی مبغوض چیز کو پیدا کیا، اور جسے اس نے پیدا کرنا ناپسند کیا اسے آگ کی مٹی سے پیدا کیا۔ پھر اس نے انہیں سائے میں اٹھایا۔ تو میں نے کہا: 'اور سائے کیا ہیں؟' اس نے فرمایا: 'کیا تم نے دھوپ میں اپنے سائے کو نہیں دیکھا؟ وہ ایک چیز ہے، مگر چیز نہیں ہے۔' پھر اللہ نے ان میں انبیاء کو بھیجا، جو انہیں اللہ کے اقرار کی طرف بلاتے تھے، اور یہی اس کا قول ہے: اور اگر تم ان سے پوچھو کہ انہیں کس نے پیدا کیا تو وہ ضرور کہیں گے: اللہ۔ پھر اس نے انہیں انبیاء کے اقرار کی طرف بلایا، تو ان میں سے بعض نے اقرار کیا اور بعض نے انکار کیا۔ پھر اس نے انہیں ہماری ولایت کی طرف بلایا، تو اللہ کی قسم، جس نے اس کا اقرار کیا وہی تھا جسے اس نے محبوب رکھا، اور جس نے اس کا انکار کیا وہی تھا جس سے اس نے بغض رکھا۔ اور یہی اس کا قول ہے: پس وہ اس پر ایمان لانے والے نہ تھے جسے انہوں نے پہلے جھٹلایا تھا۔ پھر ابو جعفر عليه السلام نے فرمایا: 'انکار وہاں تھا۔'

Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Muhammad Bin Ismail Bin Bazie, from Salih Bin Uqba, from Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al Ja’fary, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far^asws, and from Uqba, from Abu Ja’far^asws having said: ‘Allah^azwj Created the creatures. So He^azwj Created whatever He^azwj Loved from what He^azwj Loved, and it was so that what He^azwj Loved, He^azwj Created from the clay of the Paradise. And He^azwj Created whatever He^azwj Hated from what He^azwj Hated, and it was so that what He^azwj Hated, He^azwj Created from the clay of the Fire. Then He^azwj Sent them into the shadows’. So I said, ‘And which thing is ‘the shadows’?’ He^asws said: ‘Do you not see your own shadow in the sun, it is something, but it isn’t a thing? Then He^azwj Sent the Prophets^as among them, calling them to the acknowledgment of Allah^azwj, and these are His^azwj Words <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:43#h87"><a href="/books/quran:43#h87">[43:87]</a></a> And if you should ask them who created them, they would certainly say: Allah</span>. Then He^azwj Called them to the acknowledgment with the Prophets^saww. So some of them acknowledged, and some of them denied. Then He^azwj Called them to our^asws Wilayah. So the one who acknowledges it, by Allah^azwj, is the one whom He^azwj Loved, and the one who denied it, he is the one whom Allah^azwj Hated. And these are His^azwj Words <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:10#h74"><a href="/books/quran:10#h74">[10:74]</a></a> but they would not believe in what they had belied before</span>’. Then Abu Ja’far^asws said: ‘It was so that the belying was then and there’.
