إِنَّ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَانُوا يَسْتَفْتِحُونَ بِالْخَلِّ وَ يَخْتِمُونَ بِهِ وَ نَحْنُ نَسْتَفْتِحُ بِالْمِلْحِ وَ نَخْتِمُ بِالْخَلِّ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from one of our companions, from Ali Bin Suleyman Bin Rusheyd, from Muhammad Bin Abdullah, from Suleyman Al Salaymi, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The Children of Israel were beginning (their meals) with the vinegar, and they were ending with it, and we<sup>asws</sup> begin with the salt and end with the vinegar’.
