Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Ahmad Bin Asheym, from one of our companions who said, ‘One of our family members had fever, so the physicians prescribed <span class="iTxt">Al-Ghafis</span> (a herb) for him. So we made him drink it, but he did not benefit from it. So I complained of that to Abu Abdullahasws, so heasws said: ‘Allahazwj has not Made a healing in anything from the bitter. Take a (lump of) sugar and a half, so grind it in a vessel and pour water over it until it melts in it, and place iron over it, and apportion it from the beginning of the night. So when it becomes (a solution), so take it with your hand and make him drink it. So when it is the second night, so make it with two (lumps of) sugar and a half, and apportion it just as you had done beforehand, and make him drink it. And when it was the third night, so take three (lumps of) sugar and a half, and apportion it like that’. He (the narrator) said, ‘So I did, and Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic Healed our sick’.
