John Shaqi

الْكُمَّثْرَى يَدْبُغُ الْمَعِدَةَ وَ يُقَوِّيهَا هُوَ وَ السَّفَرْجَلُ سَوَاءٌ وَ هُوَ عَلَى الشِّبَعِ أَنْفَعُ مِنْهُ عَلَى الرِّيقِ وَ مَنْ أَصَابَهُ طَخَاءٌ فَلْيَأْكُلْهُ يَعْنِي عَلَى الطَّعَامِ .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Abdullah Bin Ja’far, from Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Washa, from one of our companions, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The pears repair the stomach and strengthens it, it and the Quince are the same, and it is more beneficial upon the full stomach than upon the empty, and the one who is hit by overwhelming stress so let him eat it, meaning upon the food’.
