نِعْمَ الْبَقْلُ الْهِنْدَبَاءُ وَ لَيْسَ مِنْ وَرَقَةٍ إِلَّا وَ عَلَيْهَا قَطْرَةٌ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ فَكُلُوهَا وَ لَا تَنْفُضُوهَا عِنْدَ أَكْلِهَا قَالَ وَ كَانَ أَبِي ( عليه السلام ) يَنْهَانَا أَنْ نَنْفُضَهُ إِذَا أَكَلْنَاهُ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Al Nowfaly, from Al Sakuny, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The best of the vegetables is the endive, and there is none from a leaf except that upon it is a drop (dew) from the Paradise. So eat it and do not shake it off during eating it. My<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup> forbade us that we shake it when we<sup>asws</sup> ate it’.
