ذُكِرَ السَّدَابُ فَقَالَ أَمَا إِنَّ فِيهِ مَنَافِعَ زِيَادَةٌ فِي الْعَقْلِ وَ تَوْفِيرٌ فِي الدِّمَاغِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ يُنَتِّنُ مَاءَ الظَّهْرِ . وَ رُوِيَ أَنَّهُ جَيِّدٌ لِوَجَعِ الْأُذُنِ .
Translation
From him, from Muhammad Bin Musa, from Ali Bin Al Hassan Al Hamdany, from Muhammad Bin Amro Bin Ibrahim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> or Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> – the uncertainty being from Muhammad Bin Musa who said, ‘The rue was mentioned, so he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘But there are benefits therein – it increases the intellect, and augments the brain, apart from it that it decays the water of the back’. And it is reported that it is good for the ear ache’.
