John Shaqi

كَانَ دَوَاءُ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) السَّعْتَرَ وَ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ يَصِيرُ لِلْمَعِدَةِ خَمْلًا كَخَمْلِ الْقَطِيفَةِ .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ziyad Al Qandy, (It has been narrated) from Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> the 1st having said: ‘The medicine of Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> was the thyme, and he<sup>asws</sup> was saying: ‘It comes to the stomach as velvet like the plush brocade’.
