جب تم میں سے کوئی پانی پیے اور 'بسم اللہ' کہے، پھر پیے، پھر قطع کرے اور 'الحمد للہ' کہے، پھر پیے اور 'بسم اللہ' کہے، پھر قطع کرے اور 'الحمد للہ' کہے، پھر پیے اور 'بسم اللہ' کہے، پھر قطع کرے اور 'الحمد للہ' کہے — تو وہ پانی اس کے لیے تسبیح کرتا رہتا ہے جب تک اس کے پیٹ میں رہے، یہاں تک کہ وہ نکل جائے۔

Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from Yaqoub Bin Yazeed, from a cousin of Umar Bin Yazeed, from a daughter of Umar Bin Yazeed, from her father, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah^asws having said: ‘Whenever one of you drinks the water, so he says, ‘بِسْمِ اللَّهِ’ ‘In the Name of Allah^azwj, then drinks, then cuts it and says, ‘الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ’ ‘The Praise is for Allah^azwj’, then drinks, so he says, بِسْمِ اللَّهِ ‘In the Name of Allah^azwj’, then cuts it, so he says, الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ‘The Praise is for Allah^azwj’, then drinks, so he says, بِسْمِ اللَّهِ ‘In the Name of Allah^azwj’, then cuts it and says,  الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ‘ The Praise is for Allah^azwj’ – that water would Glorify for him for as long as it is in his belly up to the times it exits’.
