John Shaqi

مَنْ شَرِبَ مُسْكِراً انْحَبَسَتْ صَلَاتُهُ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْماً وَ إِنْ مَاتَ فِي الْأَرْبَعِينَ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً فَإِنْ تَابَ تَابَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ عَلَيْهِ .


Translation

Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, form Moala Bin Muhammad, from Al Washa, from Aban Bin Usman, from Abdul Rahman Bin Abu Abdullah, Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> has said: ‘The one who drinks an intoxicant dirties his Prayer for forty days, and if he were to die during the forty (days) would have died the death of the Pre-Islamic period. But if he were to repent, Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic would Turn towards him’.
