John Shaqi

إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ جَعَلَ لِلْمَعْصِيَةِ بَيْتاً ثُمَّ جَعَلَ لِلْبَيْتِ بَاباً ثُمَّ جَعَلَ لِلْبَابِ غَلَقاً ثُمَّ جَعَلَ لِلْغَلَقِ مِفْتَاحاً فَمِفْتَاحُ الْمَعْصِيَةِ الْخَمْرُ .


Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from his father and Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Nazar Bin Suweyd, from Yaqoub Bin Shuayb, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from one of the two (5th or 6th Imam<sup>asws</sup>) having said: ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic Made a house for the disobedience, then Made doors for the house, then Made a lock for the door, then Made a key for the lock, so the key of the disobedience is the (drinking of) wine’.
