نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) عَنْ كُلِّ مُسْكِرٍ فَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ فَالظُّرُوفُ الَّتِي يُصْنَعُ فِيهَا مِنْهُ فَقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَ المُزَفَّتِ وَ الْحَنْتَمِ وَ النَّقِيرِ قُلْتُ وَ مَا ذَاكَ قَالَ الدُّبَّاءُ الْقَرْعُ وَ المُزَفَّتُ الدِّنَانُ وَ الْحَنْتَمُ جِرَارٌ خُضْرٌ وَ النَّقِيرُ خَشَبٌ كَانَتِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةُ يَنْقُرُونَهَا حَتَّى يَصِيرَ لَهَا أَجْوَافٌ يَنْبِذُونَ فِيهَا .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, form Al Hassan Bin Mahboub, from Khalid Bin Jareer, from Abu Al Rabie Al Shamy, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> forbade from every intoxicant, therefore every intoxicant is Prohibited’. So I said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘So (what about) the container in which it is made from?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> forbade from the pumpkin, and the asphalted pot, and the clay, and the date husk’. I said, ‘And what is that?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The pumpkin is the gourd, and the bitumen coated vessel, and the green clay urns, and the dry date husks which the people of the Pre-Islamic period used to make until there came to be for these a hollowness to ferment <span class="iTxt">Nabeez</span> in it’.
