كَانَ عِنْدَ أَبِي قَوْمٌ فَاخْتَلَفُوا فِي النَّبِيذِ فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ الْقَدَحُ الَّذِي يُسْكِرُ هُوَ حَرَامٌ فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ قَلِيلُ مَا أَسْكَرَ وَ كَثِيرُهُ حَرَامٌ فَرَدُّوا الْأَمْرَ إِلَى أَبِي ( عليه السلام ) فَقَالَ أَبِي أَ رَأَيْتُمُ الْقِسْطَ لَوْ لَا مَا يُطْرَحُ فِيهِ أَوَّلًا كَانَ يَمْتَلِئُ وَ كَذَلِكَ الْقَدَحُ الْآخَرُ لَوْ لَا الْأَوَّلُ مَا أَسْكَرَ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَالَ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) قَالَ مَنْ أَدْخَلَ عِرْقاً وَاحِداً مِنْ عُرُوقِهِ قَلِيلَ مَا أَسْكَرَ كَثِيرُهُ عَذَّبَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ الْعِرْقَ بِثَلَاثِمِائَةٍ وَ سِتِّينَ نَوْعاً مِنْ أَنْوَاعِ الْعَذَابِ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Haroun Bin Muslim, from Mas’ada Bin Sadaqa, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘There was a group of people in the presence of my<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup>. So they had differed regarding <span class="iTxt">Al-Nabeez</span>, so some of them said, ‘The cup which intoxicates, it is Prohibited’, and some of them said, ‘A lot of which intoxicates, a little of it is Prohibited’. So they referred the matter to my<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup>. So My<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Your views are equitable. If only you had not placed in it what filled it, and similar to that is the other cup, if only it the first one was what intoxicates’. He (the narrator) said, ‘Then he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The one who enters into one vein from his veins, a little of what a lot of it would intoxicate, Allah<sup>azwj</sup> would Punish that vein with three hundred and sixty types from the types of the Punishment’.
