سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ مَنْ تَرَكَ الْخَمْرَ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ سَقَاهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ الرَّحِيقِ الْمَخْتُومِ قَالَ قُلْتُ فَيَتْرُكُهُ لِغَيْرِ وَجْهِ اللَّهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ صِيَانَةً لِنَفْسِهِ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from one of his men, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I heard him<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘The one who leaves the wine for other than Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic, Allah<sup>azwj</sup> would Quench him with the sealed nectar’. I said, ‘But he is leaving it for other than the Face of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>’. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Yes, he is doing it for himself’.
