John Shaqi

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ الْغِنَاءُ مَجْلِسٌ لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ وَ هُوَ مِمَّا قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ .


Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Mihran Bin Muhammad, from Al Hassan Bin Haroun who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘The singing (music) gathering, Allah<sup>azwj</sup> does not Look at its people, and it is from what Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic Said <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:31#h6"><a href="/books/quran:31#h6">[31:6]</a></a> And from the people is one who buys amusing discourse to lead astray from Allah’s Way</span>’.
