سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ الْمُوسِرِ يَتَّخِذُ الثِّيَابَ الْكَثِيرَةَ الْجِيَادَ وَ الطَّيَالِسَةَ وَ الْقُمُصَ الْكَثِيرَةَ يَصُونُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضاً يَتَجَمَّلُ بِهَا أَ يَكُونُ مُسْرِفاً قَالَ لَا لِأَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَقُولُ لِيُنْفِقْ ذُو سَعَةٍ مِنْ سَعَتِهِ .
Translation
From him, from Nuh Bin Shuayb, from one of his companions, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I asked him<sup>asws</sup> about the man affluent man taking many clothes, new ones, and the pallium, and an abundance of shirts making each other last longer, beautifying by these, would he happen to be an extravagant?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘No, because Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic Saying <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:65#h7"><a href="/books/quran:65#h7">[65:7]</a></a> Let him who has abundance spend out of his abundance</span>’.
