قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) عَنْ لُبْسِ ثِيَابِ الشُّهْرَةِ وَ لَا أَقُولُ نَهَاكُمْ عَنْ لِبَاسِ الْمُعَصْفَرِ الْمُفْدَمِ .

ہمارے کچھ اصحاب نے، سہل بن زیاد سے، جعفر بن محمد سے، ابن القداح سے، ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی، آپ نے فرمایا: امیر المومنین علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: 'رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ نے مجھے شہرت کے لباس پہننے سے منع فرمایا، اور میں یہ نہیں کہہ رہا کہ انہوں نے تم سب کو زرد رنگ اور گہرے رنگ کے لباس سے منع کیا۔'
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ja’far Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Al Qaddah, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> forbade me<sup>asws</sup> from wearing the defaming clothes, and I<sup>asws</sup> am not saying he<sup>saww</sup> forbade you all from wearing the dyed, the vibrant-coloured’.
