John Shaqi

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ لِبَاسِ الْحَرِيرِ وَ الدِّيبَاجِ فَقَالَ أَمَّا فِي الْحَرْبِ فَلَا بَأْسَ بِهِ وَ إِنْ كَانَ فِيهِ تَمَاثِيلُ .


Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from Usman Bin Isa, from Sama’at Bin Mihran who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the dresses of the silk and the brocade, so he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘As for during the battle, so there is no problem with it, and even though there were pictures in it’.
