John Shaqi

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) فَدَعَا بِأَثْوَابٍ فَذَرَعَ مِنْهُ فَعَمَدَ إِلَى خَمْسَةِ أَذْرُعٍ فَقَطَعَهَا ثُمَّ شَبَرَ عَرْضَهَا سِتَّةَ أَشْبَارٍ ثُمَّ شَقَّهُ وَ قَالَ شُدُّوا ضَفَّتَهُ وَ هَدِّبُوا طَرَفَيْهِ .


Translation

From him, from his father, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Huzeyfa Bin Mansour who said, ‘I was in the presence of Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, (so he<sup>asws</sup>) called for the cloth, so he<sup>asws</sup> measured out five cubits from it, and cut it off. Then he<sup>asws</sup> measured out its display by six <span class="iTxt">Shibr</span> (open-palm’s width). Then he<sup>asws</sup> tore it and said, ‘Stitch its borders and trim its edges’.
