John Shaqi

شَكَا رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) أَنَّهُ قُطِعَ عَلَيْهِ الطَّرِيقُ فَقَالَ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) هَلَّا تَخَتَّمْتَ بِالْعَقِيقِ فَإِنَّهُ يَحْرُسُ مِنْ كُلِّ سُوءٍ .


Translation

From him, from Muhammad Bin Ahmad, raising it, said, ‘A man complained to the Prophet<sup>saww</sup> that his way had been cut-off (by the bandits), so he<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘Why did you not wear a ring with the carnelian, for it is a protection from every evil’.
