ا قُلْنَا جُعِلْنَا فِدَاكَ أَ يُكْرَهُ أَنْ يَكْتُبَ الرَّجُلُ فِي خَاتَمِهِ غَيْرَ اسْمِهِ وَ اسْمِ أَبِيهِ فَقَالَ فِي خَاتَمِي مَكْتُوبٌ اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَ فِي خَاتَمِ أَبِي مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ( عليه السلام ) وَ كَانَ خَيْرَ مُحَمَّدِيٍّ رَأَيْتُهُ بِعَيْنِي الْعِزَّةُ لِلَّهِ وَ فِي خَاتَمِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ( عليه السلام ) الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ وَ فِي خَاتَمِ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ ( عليه السلام ) حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ وَ فِي خَاتَمِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Jameel Bin Darraj, from Yunus Bin Zabyan and Hafs Bin Giyas, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> both having said, May we be sacrificed for you<sup>asws</sup>! Is it disliked that the man should inscribe in his ring, other than his own name and the name of his father?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘In my<sup>asws</sup> ring it is inscribed – ‘اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ’ “Allah<sup>azwj</sup> the Creator of everything”; and in the ring of my<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup> Muhammad<sup>asws</sup> Bin Ali<sup>asws</sup>, and he<sup>asws</sup> was the best of the Muhammads<sup>asws</sup> I<sup>asws</sup> have ever seen with my<sup>asws</sup> eyes (was inscribed) – “The Honour is for Allah<sup>azwj</sup>”; and in the ring of Ali<sup>asws</sup> Bin Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup> (was inscribed) – “The Praise is for Allah<sup>azwj</sup> the Exalted the Magnificent; and in the ring of Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> and Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup> (was inscribed) – Allah<sup>azwj</sup> is Sufficient for me”; and in the ring of Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> (was inscribed) – “Allah<sup>azwj</sup> the King”’.
