John Shaqi

قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) مَا تَقُولُ فِي إِطَالَةِ الشَّعْرِ فَقَالَ كَانَ أَصْحَابُ مُحَمَّدٍ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مُشْعِرِينَ يَعْنِي الطَّمَّ .


Translation

Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Safwan, from Ibn Sinan who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘What are you<sup>asws</sup> saying regarding lengthening of the hair?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The companions of Muhammad<sup>saww</sup> were hairy, meaning the trimming’.
