كَانَ النَّاسُ لَا يَشِيبُونَ فَأَبْصَرَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ( عليه السلام ) شَيْباً فِي لِحْيَتِهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَبِّ مَا هَذَا فَقَالَ هَذَا وَقَارٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَبِّ زِدْنِي وَقَاراً .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hafs Bin Al Bakhtary, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The people were not becoming grey-haired. So Ibrahim<sup>as</sup> saw something in his<sup>as</sup> beard, so he<sup>as</sup> said: ‘O Lord<sup>azwj</sup>! What is this?’ So He<sup>azwj</sup> Said: “This is a reverence”. So he<sup>as</sup> said: ‘O Lord<sup>azwj</sup>! Increase the reverence for me<sup>as</sup>’’.
