Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ja’far Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Zayd Al Razy, from his father, from Salih Bin Uqba, from his father who said, ‘I gifted a mule to Abu Abdullahasws, so it dislodged the rider which I had sent along with it. So we went over to himasws and we entered Al-Medina. So we informed Abu Abdullahasws and heasws said: ‘Why don’t you make it sniff the violet (oil)?’ So I made it to sniff violet (oil) and it was cured. Then heasws said: ‘O Uqba! The violet (oil) is cold in the summer and hot in the winter, soft upon ourasws Shias, dry upon ourasws enemies. Had the people known what was in the violet (oil), they would have evaluated one <span class="iTxt">Owqiya</span> (a unit of measurement) of it, for one Dinar’.
