لَا تَشْرَبْ وَ أَنْتَ قَائِمٌ وَ لَا تَبُلْ فِي مَاءٍ نَقِيعٍ وَ لَا تَطُفْ بِقَبْرٍ وَ لَا تَخْلُ فِي بَيْتٍ وَحْدَكَ وَ لَا تَمْشِ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدٍ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ أَسْرَعَ مَا يَكُونُ إِلَى الْعَبْدِ إِذَا كَانَ عَلَى بَعْضِ هَذِهِ الْأَحْوَالِ وَ قَالَ إِنَّهُ مَا أَصَابَ أَحَداً شَيْءٌ عَلَى هَذِهِ الْحَالِ فَكَادَ أَنْ يُفَارِقَهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ .
Translation
Sahl, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, from Safwan, from Al A’ala, from Muhammad Bin Muslim, (It has been narrated) from one of the two (5<sup>th</sup> or 6<sup>th</sup> Imam<sup>asws</sup>) having said: ‘Do not drink while you are standing, nor urinate in stagnant water, nor spit by a grave, nor be isolated in a house alone, nor walk in one shoe, for the Satan<sup>la</sup> is quickest as he<sup>asws</sup> can be to the servant when he was upon one of these states’. And he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If anything were to hit anyone upon these states so it would not separate from him except if Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic so Desires it’.
