قَالَ لِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) اتَّخِذْ حِمَاراً يَحْمِلْ رَحْلَكَ فَإِنَّ رِزْقَهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ قَالَ فَاتَّخَذْتُ حِمَاراً وَ كُنْتُ أَنَا وَ يُوسُفُ أَخِي إِذَا تَمَّتِ السَّنَةُ حَسَبْنَا نَفَقَاتِنَا فَنَعْلَمُ مِقْدَارَهَا فَحَسَبْنَا بَعْدَ شِرَاءِ الْحِمَارِ نَفَقَاتِنَا فَإِذَا هِيَ كَمَا كَانَتْ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ لَمْ تَزِدْ شَيْئاً .
اردو
سہل بن زیاد نے محمد بن الولید سے، انہوں نے یونس بن یعقوب سے روایت کی کہ انہوں نے کہا: ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام نے مجھ سے فرمایا: ایک گدھا لے لو جو تمہارا سامان اٹھائے، کیونکہ اس کا رزق اللہ کے ذمے ہے۔ وہ کہتے ہیں: پس میں نے ایک گدھا لے لیا، اور میں اور میرا بھائی یوسف جب سال پورا ہوتا تو ہم اپنے اخراجات کا حساب لگاتے تاکہ اس کی مقدار جان سکیں۔ پس گدھے کی خریداری کے بعد بھی ہم نے اپنے اخراجات کا حساب لگایا تو وہ ویسے ہی تھے جیسے ہر سال ہوتے تھے، کچھ بھی نہیں بڑھا۔
Translation
Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Muhammad Bin Al Waleed, from Yunus Bin Yaqoub who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said to me: ‘Take a donkey who would carry your belongings, for its sustenance would be upon Allah<sup>azwj</sup>’. He (the narrator) said, ‘So I took a donkey, and I and my brother Yusuf, when the year was completed, accounted for our expenditure, and we knew of its measurement. So we counted our expenditure after the buying of the donkey, so it was as it used to be beforehand, during every year, nothing had increased (from the expenses due to the feed of the donkey)’.
