قُلْتُ الْحَمَامُ يُرْسَلْنَ مِنَ الْمَوَاضِعِ الْبَعِيدَةِ فَيَأْتِي وَ يُرْسَلْنَ مِنَ الْمَكَانِ الْقَرِيبِ فَلَا يَأْتِي فَقَالَ إِذَا انْقَطَعَ أُكُلُهُ فَلَا يَأْتِي .

میں نے کہا: 'کبوتر جو دور مقامات سے پیغام کے ساتھ بھیجے جاتے ہیں، وہ واپس آ جاتے ہیں، جبکہ جو قریبی مقامات سے بھیجے جاتے ہیں وہ نہیں آتے۔' تو اس نے (علیہ السلام) فرمایا: 'جب اس کی خوراک کٹ جائے تو وہ نہیں آتا۔'
Translation
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moala Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Jamhour, from Ali Bin Dawood Al Haddad, from Hareyz, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I said, ‘The pigeons which are sent with a message from the remote places, so they come, and they are sent from the nearby places so they don’t come’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘When its feed is cut-off, so they don’t come’.
