سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ رَجُلٍ مَاتَ وَ تَرَكَ إِخْوَةً وَ أَخَوَاتٍ لِأُمٍّ وَ جَدّاً قَالَ فَقَالَ الْجَدُّ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْأَخِ مِنَ الْأَبِ لَهُ الثُّلُثَانِ وَ لِلْإِخْوَةِ وَ الْأَخَوَاتِ مِنَ الْأُمِّ الثُّلُثُ فَهُمْ فِيهِ شُرَكَاءُ سَوَاءً .
Translation
And from him, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad and Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Mahboub, from Husayn Bin Umara, from Misma’a Abu Sayyar who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about a man who died and left brothers and sister from the mother, and a grandfather. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The grandfather is at the status of the brother from the father, for him would be two-thirds; and for the brothers and the sisters from the mother is the one-third, so they would be participants in it, equally’.
