دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) وَ عِنْدَهُ أَبَانُ بْنُ تَغْلِبَ فَقُلْتُ أَصْلَحَكَ اللَّهُ إِنَّ ابْنَتِي هَلَكَتْ وَ أُمِّي حَيَّةٌ فَقَالَ أَبَانٌ لَيْسَ لِأُمِّكَ شَيْءٌ فَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ أَعْطِهَا السُّدُسَ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Sa’ad Bin Abu Khalaf, from Abdul Rahman Bin Abu Abdullah, said, ‘I came over to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> and in his<sup>asws</sup> presence was Aban Bin Taghlub. So I said, ‘May Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Keep you well! My daughter died and my mother is alive’. So Aban said, ‘There is nothing for your mother’. So Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Glory be to Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! Give her the one-sixth!’
