Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad and Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad and Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father and Humeyd Bin Ziyad, from Al Hassan Bin Muhammad, all of them from Al Hassan Bin Mahboub, from Ali Bin Raib, from Abu Baseer who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullahasws about something from the Obligations (legislated shares of inheritance), so heasws said to me: ‘Shall Iasws bring out for you a Book of Aliasws?’ So Iasws said, ‘The Book of Aliasws is not studied’. So heasws said: ‘O Abu Muhammad! The Book of Aliasws is not studied?’ So heasws brought it out, and it was a splendid Book, and therein was, a man who died and left his paternal uncle and his maternal uncle. Heasws said: ‘For the paternal uncle is two-thirds and for the maternal uncle is the one-third’.
