قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا ذِمِّيّاً أَسْلَمَ وَ أَبُوهُ حَيٌّ وَ لِأَبِيهِ وَلَدٌ غَيْرُهُ ثُمَّ مَاتَ الْأَبُ وَرِثَهُ الْمُسْلِمُ جَمِيعَ مَالِهِ وَ لَمْ يَرِثْهُ وَلَدُهُ وَ لَا امْرَأَتُهُ مَعَ الْمُسْلِمِ شَيْئاً .
Translation
Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hassan Al Taymi, from his brother Ahmad Bin Al Hassan, from his father, from Ja’far Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Rabat, raising it, said, ‘Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If a Zimmy man (Jew or a Christian under the protection) becomes a Muslim while his father is alive, and for his father are children other than him, then the father dies, the Muslim would inherit the entirety of his wealth, and his (other) children and his wife would not inherit anything along with the Muslim’.
